Take control of Parkinson’s Disease with the PD Warrior Program

  • June 22, 2023
  • Uncategorized

Dungog & District Neighbourcare has partnered with Mitchell Integrated Therapy to deliver the popular PD Warrior Program for locals living with PD (Parkinson’s Disease).

The PD Warrior Program is specifically designed to empower individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease to take control of their symptoms and improve their quality of life. The program combines exercise, education, and support to help you manage your condition and live a fulfilling life.

Starting on Friday, 23 June 2023, the ongoing program will run for one hour each Friday. Jordan Payne, a Physiotherapist from Mitchell Integrated Therapy and PD Warrior-trained clinician, will facilitate it.

The sessions will occur at the Dungog Uniting Church Hall, 246 Dowling Street, Dungog.

While the sessions will be tracked, participants don’t have to attend consecutive sessions. They will, however, need to book with Neighbourcare on 4992 3348 or Mitchell Integrated Therapy on 4933 6895.

Interested locals can book a 60-minute assessment (PHI rebate available – check your health fund) at any Mitchell Integrated Therapy location at Maitland, Kurri Kurri, Dungog, or Cessnock.

Participants can purchase an eight-pass session for $160 (over the phone or from Mitchell Integrated Therapy’s Dungog practice at 114 Dowling Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays) or attend individual sessions for $27.

NDIS and aged care-funded clients can be billed under their funding.

Contact Neighbourcare on 4992 3348 or Mitchell Integrated Therapy on 4933 6895 for more information.
