About Us

Established in the early 1990’s Neighbourcare has been there to support local people and we are proud to be part of this rural community.

Neighbourcare is managed by a Board of local people and provides personalised home support services that can assist you live actively, independently and safely at home and in your community.

Our friendly, responsive, flexible services can meet the individual needs of older people and younger people living with a disability.

Our trained staff will involve you in planning the care and exercising your choice in how supports are provided.

Neighbourcare can provide assistance with a variety of services including transport, simple household tasks or with services to meet your complex care needs.

How to arrange services from Neighbourcare

Realising that you may need additional help can be a stressful time that often involves understand what services are available and how to access them.

Aged care services – over 65

Please phone our supportive staff to discuss your aged care needs but you will need to contact My Aged Care (MAC) on 1800 200 422 or on their website to make a request for services
My Aged Care will ask questions over the phone to determine your eligibility to form a picture of your needs and what services may be available to assist you. Our staff will be more than happy to talk with you about this process to achieve the best results for you.

National Advocacy Service – If you need someone to help you, a national advocacy service is available by calling 1800 700 600.

Disability services – under 65

Please phone our supportive staff to discuss your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) care needs. You can also visit the NDIS website or phone on 1800 800 110 to discuss your eligibility to receive services under this scheme.

Cost of services

Your needs will determine the cost of services you engage and whether you are eligible for government subsidised aged care or disability services.

We provide

  • Government subsidised Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services for people over 65 years of age
  • Government subsidised Home Care Packages (HCP)– Levels 1- 4
  • Disability Services through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for people under 65 years of age
  • Private fee for services if you are not eligible for any government subsidies
